Here are Ty’s Training Program Titles on Cultural Sensitivity and Harassment:
1) Cross-Culture Sensitivity Training
(Enhancing Employee Effectiveness)
Workplace insensitivity, harassment, incivility, retaliation or discrimination is not just a legal issue — it's a workplace issue that can dramatically impact culture, hiring, retention, performance, and a company's reputation.
In today's global cross-cultural work climate, a workplace culture plagued with insensitivity and harassment issues can swiftly lead to careers being ruined and jobs being lost, and in due course — a business, like yours, being sued for thousands or millions of dollars.
When this occurs, it is definitely a smart idea to run a cultural sensitivity refresher course for your executives, board members, partners, directors, managers, and employees on all levels. Going through an engaging and important curriculum that covers the critical essentials of workplace cross-cultural sensitivity, harassment, diversity, inclusion, gender differences, generational differences, conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, and the enhancement of cultural competence is a great way to remind your employees on all levels about behaviors and attitudes that are considered inappropriate and appropriate in the work environment; along with your company's policies and procedures, and the current state and federal laws. It is also a good opportunity to cultivate discussion and raise awareness about what's expected from your employees on a day-to-day basis through an engaging, non-threatening, educational, upbeat, and productive training session, facilitated by Ty Howard.
Cross-Cultural Sensitivity: Enhancing Employee Effectiveness is ideal for helping executives, directors, managers and employees on all levels to increase their cultural knowledge, put cultural knowledge to use, listen and learn, better understand common diversity issues, improve cross-cultural communication and employee relations, and ultimately move your current organizational culture past seen or unseen barriers to show everyone that the organization recognizes and respects the contributions, differences and value of all employees.
Significant Note: Cultural Competence Development is a process, not an event.
With this important session, Ty Howard and his team will work closely with you to recognize your most urgent needs and then create customized training or consulting solutions to ensure the deliverance of strong R.O.I.
2) Workplace Sensitivity Training
(Increasing Racial Sensitivity and Appropriate Behavior in the Workplace)
Recent social and racial justice movements have raised expectations for cultural sensitivity training to be more transparent and honest to create a supportive, safe, and welcoming work culture. While every organization is different, HR and senior leaders recognize the need for effective behavior-based racial sensitivity and appropriate behavior in the workplace training.
Behavior-based diversity training goes beyond gently raising awareness. It focuses on what it means to think and act mindfully and accountably — whether individuals are interacting in-person, online or on the phone. Behavior-based training should challenge learners with realistic scenarios, pre and post assessments/quizzes, and interactive exercises that explore assumptions, stereotypes, and differences about people and groups. Workplace Sensitivity Training: Increasing Racial Sensitivity and Appropriate Behavior in the Workplace goes beyond race and gender. It encompasses abilities, age, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity, veteran status, positive and negative behaviors in the workplace, attitudes, and conflict management. Also, racial sensitivity awareness, insensitivity education, mindfulness, preventing discrimination and harassment, set forth laws, and diversity of thought and other characteristics.
Your Lead Facilitator, Ty Howard, believes, "We all have different cultural backgrounds and life experiences (our individual story); being sensitive to one another results in harmony, kindness and respect. It's imperative for companies today that are truly looking to succeed and grow in DEI to make the bold effort to learn how to affirm human dignity and peak performance in the workplace proactively. We might learn something new about ourselves and our own culture in the process."
Workplace Sensitivity Training: Increasing Racial Sensitivity and Appropriate Behavior in the Workplace is an immersive, participatory experience for senior executives, directors, managers, staff, and employees on all levels. This engaging and insightful session is not a shaming, guilt bashing, blaming, or blatant attack on one race or another. Its sole purpose is to increase racial sensitivity and appropriate behavior in your work culture while interacting with everyone in attendance as valuable human beings who deserve to be treated with dignity, kindness and respect, regardless who they are. Participants learn and practice skills they will use and model in their respective work environments.
3) One-on-One Sensitivity Training for Executives and Managers
One-on-one Sensitivity Training is an important solution in helping a Key Person for whom other training has not been effective. Perhaps they did not positively improve after online training, or they were reluctant to ask questions that related directly to their own situations, and now are accused of insensitivity, harassment, bullying, incivility or discrimination. Ty Howard provides support for your Key Person through an intensive and engaging half-day or full-day training program that is taught one-on-one on-site by him, and includes discussions with management and Human Resources regarding specific allegations and behaviors, the results of your investigation, and your desired outcomes.
Format: One-on-one. This program is updated annually and includes your organization’s policies and procedures, case studies and extensive Q & A. Ty Howard is a seasoned organizational development consultant, executive and leadership development coach, experienced trainer, and skilled facilitator. This program has been successful in reducing hostility or inappropriate behavior in people accused of insensitivity, harassment, incivility and discrimination, increasing their understanding of the legal parameters in which the company must act, and obtaining their full buy-in to the process.

4) Gender Sensitivity in the Workplace
(Improving Understanding, Communication, Engagement, Outcomes, and Respect for Gender Differences at Work)
Do you know how to make your workplace a safe and respectful gender-sensitive environment?
Making everyone in your workplace feel welcome comes down to consistently treating all differences and genders with respect, appreciation, and value.
Gender Sensitivity in the Workplace is a tailored and immersive, participatory experience for executives, managers, administrative staff, and employees at all levels and departments in your organization. The purpose of this engaging training session facilitated by Ty Howard is to improve understanding, communication, engagement, outcomes, and respect for gender differences at work. Ty begins with an introduction to Gender Sensitivity by addressing the historical roots of sexist assumptions, stereotypes, discrimination, inequality, and harassment in the workplace, typically against women, based on sex. Next, he discusses the nature of gender biases, gender and leadership roles, and communication between genders. Lastly, he shares how gender insensitivity affects both genders and organizations and how we can reduce its impact on our decision-making, behavior, work relationships, outcomes/results, and workplace culture.
Gender Sensitivity in the Workplace is not a training session that bashes or shames either gender. It is a session that does acknowledge facts and truth with research. The overall message is about the impact a truly healthy workplace culture can have on employees at all levels and how we each play a role in creating it.
Here is where your company can join other smart companies that have transformed and cultivated a safe and respectful workplace culture by learning how to consistently treat gender and sexual differences with respect, appreciation, and value. 5) Untie the Knots®: Creating a Harassment-Free Workplace
(Learn How to Effectively Create and Sustain a Work Environment Free of Harassment)
Has an employee inside your workplace experienced objectionable behavior from another or multiple employees? Have other employees seen the harassment? Does civility in your workplace - currently - seem like an impossible goal?
If you answered 'Yes!' to one or more of the above three questions, the Toxic Knots of Harassment are alive and growing inside your workplace. When it comes to combating harassment, the law requires employers to "stand guard" every day and puts the onus on employers to create and maintain harassment-free workplaces.
As today's workplace continues to evolve, new unwelcome behaviors put your culture at risk. Toxic behaviors like inappropriate conversations, nicknames, jokes, touching, unwanted advances, gestures, objects, pictures, posters, and offensive misuse of email and technology are plaguing many organizations with harassment issues. The #MeToo movement has focused renewed attention on the problem of all kinds of harassment in the workplace, and it's clear that despite stern efforts by some employers to address the issue of harassment, the problem persists, and in some cases is growing worse.
Going to work is becoming increasingly stressful and for some, traumatizing. Someone at your job, or maybe several people, are harassing co-workers or making it hard for others to focus on their work. Employee morale has dropped, productivity is down, many are walking around feeling uncomfortable and unsafe, and your star employees are now starting to leave the organization. In times like these — new, direct, bold, and honest approaches are needed.
You have to go beyond the obvious! An up-to-date and effective harassment training session for today's work climate has to focus on the issues of harassment, sexual harassment, sex and cultural (diversity and inclusion) discrimination, crossing the line online and on mobile devices, and how to prevent it in the workplace. Your employees and managers must also learn how to identify and prevent different types of harassment such as Quid Pro Quo, as well as gain essential skills for creating a harassment-free workplace, such as bystander intervention and the prevention of bullying.
In Untie the Knots®: Creating a Harassment-Free Workplace, from InspiraGen Institute, led by lead facilitator Ty Howard, your participants receive the opportunity to learn about the issue of harassment and to talk about how this issue negatively affects the work environment. Ty uses real case studies, an assessment tool, and group discussion as participants explore the factors that contribute to claims of a hostile work environment, sexual harassment or sex or cultural discrimination. This training session also examines the costly and negative impact of harassment on victims, co-workers, and employers. Participants will also identify steps to stop harassment, sexual harassment, and develop strategies to respond to it if it occurs. Toward the conclusion of this session, participants will plan ways to implement this training to ensure and sustain a positive work environment free from all forms of harassment moving forward.
Untie the Knots®: Creating a Harassment-Free Workplace is always customized (for your organizational culture and industry), current, engaging, and effective from beginning to end. InspiraGen Institute's commitment and guarantee ensure your participants' experience a high-quality training session that complies with the new state and federal laws, its definitions, and the laws that prohibit harassment in the workplace.
This engaging and effective training session on the prevention of harassment in the workplace is ONLY delivered in Half-Day (up to 3 hours), Full-Day (4 to 6 hours), or Multiple Days (from 2 to 5 days) formats.
